Ben Shelton (MSR Mafia) - MEMPHIS, Tenn. (June 12, 2017) – Howard Moore continued his hot streak on Saturday night in his Lawn Jox #40 Dynamic Electric/ Maxim/ SPEC Racing Engine Sprint Car by racing to his second-straight feature win.

His latest conquest came at Riverside International Speedway West Memphis, AR (West Memphis, Arkansas) with the American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) Mid-South Region.

Nineteen entries tackled the historic 1/4-mile oval on Saturday evening in pursuit of a $2,000 top prize. A 3rd-to-2nd run in his heat race earned Howard a spot in the redraw, where he was the recipient of the 2nd-starting spot for the finale.

Starting alongside Andy McElhannon for the 25-lap affair, Howard initially slipped back to the 3rd position. After a few circuits he overtook Marshall Skinner for the second spot as he set his sights on the leader, McElhannon. Moore made the pass for the top spot on a couple of occasions, but his efforts would be for not, due to caution flags.

Despite cautions hampering his efforts, Howard would finally take over the top spot just past the halfway mark, exiting turn 2. He would go on to keep several veterans behind him over the remainder of the event as he went on to claim his first win of the season with the tour.

The victory was his second of the season.

"This almost seems like a dream to win back-to-back races," Moore commented. "My dad, Ricky, and Jake had the car dialed in perfectly, and it made my job much easier. To be able to outrun so many talented racers really means a lot. Last but not least I want to thank all of my sponsors and fans for their awesome support.

McElhannon, Tim Crawley, Gary Taylor, and Marshall Skinner completed the Top 5. Full results from the events from the event are available at www.ASCSracing.com .
