Last Corner Pass Nets Victory For Howard Moore At Riverside

Bryan Hulbert - WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. (April 19, 2025) The only lap that pays is the only one Howard Moore led Saturday night with the ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints, making a thrilling pass off the final turn at Riverside International Speedway.

Chasing Landon Britt and Marshall Skinner for most of the 25-lap affair, the two traded the lead around until Skinner was forced to retire in the late stages with a mechanical issue. Putting the lead back in Britt's hands, the pair snaked through traffic with Moore matching ever pass.

Getting back to clean racetrack with a pair of laps to go, Moore rallied to Britt's back bumper as the white flag flew. A massive run off the exit of the second turn, Moore carried that momentum into the final two turns. Sliding across to grab the lead, Moore had Britt by a car length at the checkered flag.

Ernie Ainsworth advanced seven spots to third, with Derek Hagar and Joe B. Miller making up the top-five.

The 2025 season marks the 34th season of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the American Sprint Car Series National Tour, the ASCS Nation includes several regional tours, along with cooperating tracks and events throughout the United States.
