Moore rallies big in Short Track Nationals finale
Howard Moore's trip to Texarkana 67 Speedway in Texarkana, Arkansas, was more than productive, eventually concluding the 38th running of the Short Track Nationals with not only a top-five performance, but an impressive charge to match. In fact, Moore, who calls Memphis, Tennessee, home, rallied eight positions in total Saturday night, concluding the 40-lapper fourth after starting 12th on the grid.
Originally intended to be conducted the weekend prior until Mother Nature stole the show, Moore's Short Track Nationals campaign kicked-off Friday, October 31, and concluded with a top-ten - finishing tenth after starting one position back. Many of the country's finest open wheel aces were in town for the Texarkana spectacle including Tim Shaffer, Ian Madsen, Cole Macedo, Sam Hafertepe, Jr., and eventual Short Track Nationals champion, Hank Davis.
